Heartland: Nothing lasts forever but the earth and sky is a recent variation on my fish trap series. My inspiration for this basket pair was the beauty and honesty of the Kansas landscape and crops such as corn and sorghum that literally feed our country. As I often travel between Texas and the Colorado Rockies, I am intrigued by the patterns and colors created by the farms and their produce in its various stages of growth during the different growing seasons.
