Madame Blue

Madame Blue was created on a wood base and has 3 layers of weaving. Since I don’t often use blue in my work, I honored this work with the title of a Styx song, “Suite Madame Blue” written by keyboardist and singer Dennis DeYoung. Interestingly, DeYoung’s song was written in 1975 and was a metaphor about the United States during a time when the country was disillusioned and deeply divided yet preparing to celebrate its bicentennial.
